We often see brick and stone walls on the outside part of a house, bricks and stones are elements usually used to decorate the exteriors of a house, such as gardens and patios but lately more and more homes use brick and stone walls indoors. Hi Ann, thanks for stopping by earlier. Brick walls inside...my parents house was designed by an architect friend in the 1950's and featured an exposed brick wall in the lounge room. It had little shelves made by turning the brick at right angles while building the wall.
I love having the roughness of the brick indoors, looks so cozy and out of the box!
I love brick. I think it's such a classic beautiful thing.

this type of interior with stones, bricks and of course mosaic but that is another matter..is exactly what makes my heart beat when I think of how I would love my ideal living space to be.
the contrast works miracles especially the blue tinted sofa across the wall.

being from georgia, bricks seem the most natural of materials to me. when we found our home here in nyc, i swooned at all the exposed brick. it's super cozy.
