A Glamorous and Relaxed Black, Gray, and Silver Apartment

This apartment looks so glamorous and relaxing. I just love the color scheme used in here, so soothing. The dining room looks fabulous, so French and elegant and just look at those luxurious drapes... what's not to love in that space? A picture of an icon like Audrey to inspire, its so perfect in that little work space. The couch looks so comfy and with all those books in there I think I'd lie in that couch more than I'd be sitting...reading those books of course. The bedroom looks so inviting with its simplicity but at the same time filled with femininity... oh that little hanging heart from the lovely chandy is super cute. The bathroom may not be so spacious but I love the glam feel all over it. Hmmm... the interiors of this apartment would definitely go to my inspiration file.

White Walls and Lots of Colors

Love this Swedish Home with its wonderful white walls and colorful furniture and accents. It looks so fresh, lively, and comfortable. Here is a house that looks so lived in and feels so light and airy. I just love how the beautiful mix of colors made the interiors look so vibrant but still cozy because of the white walls and ceilings. The furniture may not be so expensive by they look really interesting, comfortable and homey. Love the rugs I think all of them look so beautiful and the fireplace looks amazing and oh so cozy. The books, the kids' toys, and the little blackboards look fantastic in there too.

A Charming and Cozy House

I love this charming and cozy house from the 1800s. Just the living room with its lovely chandelier, huge mirror, stone wall, and the upholstered sofa in turquoise fabric with a single pink pillow... oh my heart is already captured. Looking at the other rooms and I am getting more and more convinced that this house has one the most beautiful interiors around, at least for my taste. Relaxed, rustic, cozy and very inviting. I love the charming and inviting kitchen with its open shelves that proudly displays the wonderful collection of the owners and its interesting tiles. Oh the dining room is spacious with its wide wood table surrounded by Louis Ghost chairs and above hangs a lovely chandelier and below is a painted rug with its sweet pale color ... just beautiful. And the simplicity and whiteness of the bathroom looks divine with a lovely chandelier, mirror and wood paneling.

Simple and Serene Living

Tomorrow will mark the start of another year... the year 2012. I am so thankful of all the blessings that have come my way this year. I am thankful also of all the friends I have known through blogging. I know I have been on a month long blog vacation because of my busy schedule taking care of my family and business. But this year I want simplicity and quite a serene and easy-going lifestyle. Less stress and more appreciation and enjoyment of the real things that matter in life. Have a wonderful New Year everyone.

Here is Perivolas Luxury Hotel in Santorini, Greece. Simple and serene... and I love it so much. A perfect place to contemplate about the passing year and to plan things for the coming year. A perfect place to quiet the mind and rejuvenate the soul. Oh if only I can spend a couple of weeks in there, with my family of course. For life will not be worth living and any place will not be as special if I don't share it with my loved ones.

Idyllic and Romantic Manor House

This is the manor of Sophie Conran a renowned English interior designer, cook and author. Sophie is the daughter of designer and restaurateur Sir Terence Conran and food writer Caroline Conran, the sister of fashion designer Jasper Conran, restaurateur Tom, artist Edmund and product designer Sebastian... so as you can see creative and fame runs in her family.

How I love her manor house, its idyllic and romantic style speaks a lot about its owners elegance, grace, and love of the quiet life and nature. It has brick and stone walls enough to provide the needed warmth and rustic feel that a lovely manor house needs to have. One wing of the manor was built back in the Middle Ages, another one was in the sixteenth century and still a lot of architectural details are already three hundred years old, so you see this place is also quite historic and a real gem. And isn't that fireplace lovely? A nice spot on cold days. I also love the subtle use of colors in this house and the outdoors look so divine in its quiet and lush surrounding. Oh maybe if I live in a place like this I wouldn't be stressed as much. I would probably be whistling a tune as I tend to my garden or as I cook something for Thanksgiving. But first, I think I must first learn how to whistle.

“You know how to whistle, don't you, Steve? You just put your lips together and... blow.” - From the movie 'To Have and Have Not', 1944, Lauren Bacall as Slim Browning
