I heart this comfortable and modern living room and you can easily see why. The space is relaxed and is filled with natural light, makes it warm, comfortable and cozy. The mix of chairs is brilliant with no two pieces being alike but each blend well with the others. The artsy design and lovely colors of the chairs is also note-worthy and makes this living room truly interesting. The floor lamp makes a functional and stylish addition to this already lovely living room. The presence of books and the lighting makes it really inviting to lounge around in this modern living room and read during lazy afternoons or silent nighttimes. I just love the fusion of colors, furniture pieces, décors and placement of each piece in this living room. This comfortable modern living room is just simply a feast to the eyes. Rugs can make or break the ambiance and design of a room. Rugs are also used as a home ornament that may help enhance a boring and dull space. It also adds coziness and warmth as long as you know how to choose the right one for a specific space. Rugs come in different shapes, sizes, texture and color. They also come in different design styles and some even represent a culture. We don’t just buy rugs to protect our floors we buy them based on their style, size, quality and durability. And of course we buy them to add beauty and a certain touch of elegance to a particular space. It is advisable to choose a rug that will compliment the dominant color of the space where it will be installed and displayed. I personally love contemporary and modern rugs because of their fresh design styles and their plush and luxurious quality. I totally have a great fondness for Designer Rugs because you can be assured not only of their artistic design and value but also of the rug’s craftsmanship, high quality, and durability.

There are many factors that affect and help create an awe-inspiring room much more an awe-inspiring residence. Each room and space in the house should blend together in terms of design style, colors used, textiles and textures applied, and even the lighting function and style to be used. This awe-inspiring Aspen Residence created and designed by Emily Summers Design Associates succeeds in blending all necessary factors and features of each room and space to create one remarkable abode. The use of whites and neutrals are all over the house, the use of wood to add warmth and coziness are brilliant especially the big wooden beams that looks so quaint and charming, the eye-catching lighting fixtures used and the amount of natural light allowed to come in the living room, and the orderliness and clean lines employed in each room made this Aspen Residence look so stunning and stylish yet comfortable and very appealing.

A Bedroom is a personal haven and retreat. It is very important that a bedroom be a place of comfort, warmth and tranquility. And at the same time reflects the personality and interests of the dweller/s. Since a bedroom is place of rest and comfort, it should also be as functional as possible. Choosing the dominant color of the bedroom, the right bed, window treatments to use and even picking the appropriate carpet and bedroom accessories are just some of the things one must take into consideration in creating and designing a beautiful and functional bedroom. However, for some people having a beautiful and functional bedroom is not enough, some people want their bedroom to be extraordinary, stylish and interesting. They want their bedroom to be a room that makes a statement of their own unique personality.
Here are some interesting bedroom design ideas to inspire and motivate you to create stylish and interesting bedrooms of your own.
I heart this brilliant wall design idea from Interior Designer Scott Sanders. We are so used to seeing walls decorated with framed pictures, mirrors, paintings, and other artworks. But this wall was filled with very artistic and colorful album covers some of which I recognize are from the 80’s and 90’s which are probably owned by the dwellers of this abode. What a wonderful way to give life to a dull wall and at the same time putting the personality and interests of the owners. The simple red wall shelves give a distinctive line and balance but do not take the attention away from the display of album covers which is the main focus of attention in this particular space. The addition of a table with a music player is also very appropriate. The red and white lamp is a gorgeous addition to this lively space and the light it emits makes the space feel cozy and warm. The little vases, the plant, the framed picture on the table and even the decorative transparent round items below the table all add to make this wall design idea brilliant.
