Pink… a color that signifies sweetness, the color for young girls, and yes it can also be a color of love…not as intense as red but more soft, silent and charming. For most of us ladies, pink is the color we love when we were still little girls, the color our mothers favor for our dresses, ribbons, school things and other girly items. As we matured, some of us moved on to favor other colors than the girly old pink but still once in a while we get to see pink items that melt our hearts and deep inside us we once again feel how good it is to see one familiar color from our yesteryears that is so dear to us that reminds us of happy girly days and playful times. A touch of pink in our homes can be a good thing, it may even brighten a dull day and add a little whimsy to our home life.
Pretty in pink! I love a touch of it. Don't have any though (well a salmony color...maybe that qualifies!)
ReplyDeletepink - the colour of romance ! some years ago, i used to live in a completely pink apartment - walls, ceiling, doors, windows - everything was pink. it was a bit sickening (and since it was rented, we couldnt repaint!) and totally put me off the colour.
ReplyDeleteLoving your PINK post today!!! Thanks for stopping by my "garden walk" yesterday! and YES, I love to walk around the yard everyday and see what's growing...it is amazing how plants grow... and how much they can grow seemingly overnight! Have a happy Sunday!!!
ReplyDeleteI really love a pink room, but I have never had the nerve to do one for myself...just beautiful photos. and thanks for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteWow, Ann, I LOVE all of your pink pics! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI don't think my mom dressed me in pink when I was little. I was a tomboy back then and probably refused wearing anything girly -funny that I don't remember. Now a warm pink definitely makes me smile, it feels tropical, fresh and lighthearted.
ReplyDeleteI think the pink really stands out when on a background of black or white, it can be a little over powering when in amongst a number of other shades.
ReplyDeleteHaving two daughters...I have to do a whole separate load of laundry for all the pink! Also, I painted their room with pink stripes:) Great pink choices!
ReplyDeleteJust discovered your blog and what a treat! I've never had a pink room but now am wanting to do one with some pink accents- you have some great examples. Not too "sweet" just perfect!

ReplyDeleteI am not a lover of pink per se, but I did use it in my daughter's room, more muted, on the walls, and I love it :) I love the images you shared---the House Beautiful and House and Home were more my flavor, but what a nice selection for this topic :)
