A Grace Kelly Inspired Manhattan Apartment

This lovely Grace Kelly inspired Manhattan Apartment is designed by Jamie Drake. He is dubbed ‘King of Color’ by House Beautiful because of his extraordinary way of using colors to create stunning and livable spaces. Jamie Drake also designs furniture, fabrics, and various accessories. According to Drake Design, “The design of this Manhattan House apartment aspire to replicate the cool, unapproachable beauty of style icon Grace Kelly. Pale icy green frosts the foyer, living and dining rooms with piquant Kelly green accent panel in foyer. Refined, couture details such as the ruched trim on the shapely sofa reflect the impeccable manner in which she was always dressed”. Although pale icy green is the dominant color of this place it is interesting to note that this place is a mixture of hues and textures. Green evokes coolness and calmness and a dash of blue, pink, red and yellows help give this haven dynamism and chic. I so love the luxurious and beautifully designed fabrics and the elegant lamps and accessories used to enhance glamour and elegance in this already enchanting Manhattan Apartment.

If you were to choose a celebrity to inspire the design of your home, who would you pick? And why?

A Luxurious Pueblo Style Villa

Casa Alcini is a luxurious pueblo style villa. Pueblo houses which are also called adobe houses have certain features like massive walls with round edges, flat roofs, rounded parapet, earth-colored stucco wall surfaces and hand-built look. Pueblo style houses are inspired by the simple adobe structures built by the native Americans and ancient tribes. Pueblos are comfortable, eco-friendly and suited for places with dry climates. Casa Alcini in Cabo, San Lucas, Mexico and is just a walk away from the Pacific Ocean Beach. Wouldn’t it be nice to sleep peacefully in a very stylish and elegant bedroom and be able to swim in the pristine Pacific Ocean beach the next minute? I just love a house that has all the comforts that modern amenities can offer inside and has the best of natural surroundings outside. And the interiors of the villa is something every person with exquisite design taste and style would love and adore. We all have dreams of a perfect beach vacation and I wouldn’t mind spending it here in fabulous Casa Alcini in Cabo San Lucas.

Fabulous Kitchen Designs from Christopher Peacock

House Beautiful will unveil its kitchen of the year and its designer is no other than Christopher Peacock. The unveiling ceremony will be live on Rockefeller Plaza in New York City on July 15. I know this came as no surprise to many of you as English Kitchen Designer Christopher Peacock’s works are so famous and has gotten acclaims from many design critics already. I am a self-confessed admirer of his fabulous kitchens with their luxurious sterling silver knobs and hinges, the exquisite craftsmanship of the cabinets, and the functionality of the designs. A Christopher Peacock kitchen is synonymous to luxury, functionality, sophistication and style. For those who are not familiar with his kitchens and even for those who just want to get another glimpse of his kitchen creations, enjoy the images below. Lovely Unique Pieces of Furniture

I am not supposed to do anything today as I was advised to take a rest. But as I was surfing the net I found these lovely unique pieces of furniture. And here I am, sharing them with you already. I love their colors, shapes, and playful designs. I thought I would just take a rest for a while in using too many words and just show them to you. I found these lovely pieces of furniture from Dust Furniture, a collection of studio furniture from craft artist Vincent Thomas Leman. All of Dust’s furniture is skillfully handcrafted by Vincent and Jessie Leman in their studio in Valparaiso, Indiana.

These fun and lively furniture that are stretched, curved, and stacked will make a lovely addition to any modern, contemporary, eclectic, and even traditional home. It is just up to you where to put it in your home, but wherever you put these nice pieces of furniture, that space would definitely be more lively and charming.
