A Dream House in a Box

I don't usually favor box type homes because most of them are too modern for my taste and some have interiors that are quite masculine for my taste. I love homes that are inviting, fresh, serene, and cozy. And if it is located in a very nice surrounding, somewhere with a great view and spacious relaxing outdoors then it is my dream house. This lovely home in Spain has all the qualities I dream of in an ideal home and surprisingly it is a box type house. It is a dream house in a box. It is a haven where one can relax and its outdoor spaces are very pleasing to the eyes. You can almost feel the soft winds on your face.

What factors and features would you like your dream home to have? Would it be box type, Mediterranean, high rise or Victorian?

A Lush Garden and Pops of PInk

What I love about this small London House is its large kitchen that opens up into a lush green garden. Now that is real refreshing. The pops of pink in the mostly white interiors is something that is to be noticed and adds a bit of fab in those spaces. I for one would love a kitchen with that lovely black chandelier and a hot pink chair, now that is one kitchen I would feel comfy and glam at the same time, not traditional but hey its glamorous. The rug on the living room is luxe on top of a lovely wood flooring, and don't you just love the mix of fabrics and textures of the pillows 0n the comfy sectional sofa? That is one cozy living area. The dining table is not that spacious but the pops of pink once again gives it a lively and glam ambiance. The bedroom exudes a more cozy and warmth feel with its subdued soothing colors, and I just love the chaise lounge in there plus who wouldn't appreciate that tray of perfumes at the foot of the bed? What about you what do you love about this lovely house?

A Dreamy Home in Greece

This house is so dreamy... Love the white walls but I also adore the turquoise ones too. I find the simple wood furniture so charming with their distressed and chipped paints, and the minimal use of furniture adds to the quiet and calm vibe of this house. This is a house where one can feel easily relaxed and can easily have a quiet moment to appreciate the beauty and simplicity of this house and its surroundings. I am so loving the bathroom with its turquoise walls and exposed rocks. The ceilings of this house has very interesting designs, some have cool colors others have wonderful details. And the open shelves, curved white forms of structure and decor accents also adds charm in this dreamy home in Tinos, Greece.

Man Candy Monday: John Cusack

My Man Candy this Monday may not be as flashy or as paparazzi infested as other big actors in Hollywood, but he is definitely in the big leagues...at least for me. My Man Candy Monday this week is my fave since my teen years, John Cusack. He can open a movie as lead actor and his body of work is quite impressive. And he works steadily for decades already, has brains above his shoulders, and has Level 6 black belt in Kickboxing. Love his shy smile, his lines in his movies, and his baby face. I just love him as Lloyd Dobler holding a boom box in 'Say Anything', that scene has stuck up on my memory for years now ... He is now filming 'The Raven' as Edgar Allan Poe.

Top 100 Favorite Movies Of The Decade

Serendipity | 2001

Jonathan Trager, prominent television producer for ESPN, died last night from complications of losing his soul mate and his fiancee. He was 35 years old. Soft-spoken and obsessive, Trager never looked the part of a hopeless romantic. But, in the final days of his life, he revealed an unknown side of his psyche. This hidden quasi-Jungian persona surfaced during the Agatha Christie-like pursuit of his long reputed soul mate, a woman whom he only spent a few precious hours with. Sadly, the protracted search ended late Saturday night in complete and utter failure. Yet even in certain defeat, the courageous Trager secretly clung to the belief that life is not merely a series of meaningless accidents or coincidences. Uh-uh. But rather, its a tapestry of events that culminate in an exquisite, sublime plan. Asked about the loss of his dear friend, Dean Kansky, the Pulitzer Prize-winning author and executive editor of the New York Times, described Jonathan as a changed man in the last days of his life. “Things were clearer for him,” Kansky noted. Ultimately Jonathan concluded that if we are to live life in harmony with the universe, we must all possess a powerful faith in what the ancients used to call “fatum”, what we currently refer to as destiny.
