Brick and Stone Walls

We often see brick and stone walls on the outside part of a house, bricks and stones are elements usually used to decorate the exteriors of a house, such as gardens and patios but lately more and more homes use brick and stone walls indoors. They make a space more cozy and adds a bit of warmth. Here are some gorgeous rooms that made use of brick and stone walls.

Hi Ann, thanks for stopping by earlier. Brick walls inside...my parents house was designed by an architect friend in the 1950's and featured an exposed brick wall in the lounge room. It had little shelves made by turning the brick at right angles while building the wall.

I love having the roughness of the brick indoors, looks so cozy and out of the box!

I love the warming effect of brick walls (so highly desired by all those fierce apartment hunters in NYC :)). The books are lovely as is the room with that clear wall separator! Thanks so much for dropping by - I love meeting new bloggers and happy it led me to your lovely blog!

What gorgeous rooms - I love how the rooms still have a sense of airy space even though they're made with heavy materials.

Thank you for visiting. Beautiful rooms, often when there is brick inside the room is drab and dark. Charmaine

stopping by your blog.
this type of interior with stones, bricks and of course mosaic but that is another matter..is exactly what makes my heart beat when I think of how I would love my ideal living space to be.
the contrast works miracles especially the blue tinted sofa across the wall.
wonderful!
